onlyloveisleft is a new collaborative project between Tom Ridley (Poisonous Birds) and Stefan Goodchild (Stabilizer, Namer of Things, Triple Geek).

Born out of admiration of each other's work, and a mutual interest in both left-field experimentalismn and dance-floor focused techno, onlyloveisleft emerges as a quietly introspective project between two staples of Bristol music.

Tom is best known as the composer/producer/vocalist in Bristol art-rock project Poisonous Birds, whose recent Remix EP saw reworks by the likes of Loraine James (Hyperdub) and Delay Grounds (Pressure Dome, Lapsus).

Stefan conversely has more than 20 years of releases under his belt as Stabilizer at the turn of the century, under his own name on Triple Geek Recordings and Kiwis + Coconuts, and as Namer Of Things, his slow psychedelic techno project.

onlyloveisleft presents the double single, tenk / no hero: two cuts of exploratory, mid-tempo techno whose curious and non-linear development are reflected in the final pieces. Much like a painting whose layered story is reflected in the surface texture of a canvas, these tracks leave their variously mangled layers exposed to be explored with each listen.
